A tilstandsrapport is a technical inspection of a property under the Norwegian regulations on safer property sales (forskrift til avhendingslova). The report describes the condition of all building elements using grades from TG0 (no defects) to TG3 (serious defects). It is effectively mandatory under Norwegian property sale legislation.
An inspection for a building condition report takes approx. 4–6 hours for an apartment, 6–8 hours for a detached house and 4–8 hours for a holiday home. The time is an estimate and depends on, among other things, the size, age, condition and number of wet rooms of the property. The finished report is delivered within five working days.
